"MES was in a right old state around that time. I remember seeing them at the Hacienda playing tracks off of Shyte User Syndrome and he was about as bad as I’ve ever seen him.
"He’s being very nice to the interviewer. It does seem that he is, or certainly can be, quite courteous and polite. I suspect he turns on the curmudgeonly behaviour when faced with trendy fake pseuds trying to be cool rather then being honest.
