It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Mark E. Smith. He passed this morning at home. A more detailed statement will follow in the next few days. In the meantime, Pam & Mark’s family request privacy at this sad time.

Have been listening to 1st 3 Malkmus/Jicks cds (jap import/pig lib still shrinked wrapped & unopened tho)... Really good/fun stuff etc [am I getting old? Nah! ;-)] Plus, have yet to open eponymous Sun Ra lp, blue vinyl, picked up @ NB, Tx record store.

Also, Have not listened to Dylan/Band - Basement Tapes Raw - Bootleg Series Vol 11 (2 cds) picked up coupla months ago @ very good Philly South St. record store (cause, I guess, am now gun-shy re: Dylan releases. Reason: Disc 3 of Dylan Bootleg #1 skips during fave tune.)

Anyways, More Good Dylan Stuff via Matador Warehouse Staff.
np: both Boston/Dire Straits 1st albums plus Jeez... Dylan playin' on cd right now.. forgot what it is, but good stuff [Nashville Skyline]

Ok. Am finally departing Tx Today (Tues) after being on 'airplane mode' since Fri when [Mother] graciously extended (no airplaine tix charge for changing day/flight) stay cause of extreme cold in Philly. We had 2 delays on way to airport this morn having to return to Lake House twice plus delay on hwy cause we went car-pool lane & there was no airport exit. HLS confiscated 2 items from me which was drag: 1) great body spray that [Sister] gave me for Xmas & 2) nice bottle of shaving cream [Mother] gave me :-( Alright, enuff talk. Bye :-)
